Birthday party!

How long do you take to prepare for a party? Me, not long. At least that's how it feels in my mind. I (always) wear my black pants, because you can never go wrong with black pants. It makes me look slimmer. I choose my jewellery carefully. Everything has to match.

Yesterday I went to a birthday party and I wore black and white. I wore the pearls I got from my mother and sister in law for my wedding.............:)!
The only problem I had, was (or is it were?!) my shoes. Didn't know what shoes to wear: ballerinas, sandals, wedges, pumps. I tried everything. I even looked for my cow skin clogs but couldn't find them. I ended up wearing my boots. They're comfortable and most important I feel good in them.

What did we eat at the party. All kind of delicious 'tapas' from Surinam and a great Antillian soup. What did we have for dessert: cupcakes and a exquisite prune and nuts cake.

Thank you Faina (the birthdaygirl)..........•¸.•♥•.¸¸.!

Marc Jacob's Curacao!!

Curacao, created by perfumer Yann Vasnier, is inspired by an orange-flavored liqueur from the Caribbean island of CuraƧao. The composition includes notes of blood orange, bitter orange, lime, mandarin, violet, pear, apricot, white moss, amber, musk, and sandalwood. The orange is accented with the creamy fruity notes of peach and apricot, which give a smooth quality to Curacao. As it dries down, it takes on a modern sheer ambery character, with the aquatic notes contrasting pleasantly with the crisp mossy accord. Although the orange is the main focus of Curacao, its character is closer to watery fresh compositions like Marc Jacobs Splash Rain, Comptoir Sud.

Of course I stole this review from the web. Look forward to writing my own reviews.

Yesterday I took a sample of this perfume. I come from Curacao so I was curious. I wasn't really overwhelmed by the fragrance. I'm going to wear it for a while see how people react. I'll let you know in a future post..........=)!

Mua

Mua that's what I want to be. Mua Caroline. Sounds like a kiss, doesn't it.

Tell me your make-up faux pas. And don't leave out the juicy details. Did you find out yourself or did somebody tell you.

My faux pas, well to be honest, I can't think of anything right now. But if you tell me yours maybe some memory will come up. You know what it's like some things we just don't want to remember.

Well maybe I do have a story. When I was much younger and still experimenting with make-up, I used an eye pencil and the whole tip got stuck in my eye. Because of the heat in the car the kohl melted but didn't lose it's form. Well it got lost in my eye......uch! Well kind of a boring story, right? I'm sure I've had my share of 'look how much make-up that girl's got on' days. Nobody told me, so I didn't know.

Why the picture of the doggy. I'm afraid of dogs but if I would ever buy a dog it would be this sweet pug.
